He that climbs a ladder must begin at the first rung - Walter Scott.
Kumarans stepped on the first rung way back in 1959. The first feel of freshness and enthusiasm mixed with anxiety and confidence set the ship of Kumarans assail in 1959 by (Late) Mrs. R. A. Devi. It was then, 50 years ago that the sun rose at Kumarans never to set. A visionary that she was, persevering to cater to the educational needs of society helped in the smooth sailing of the institution in its initial phase.
Forty successful years of an educational institution is no small wonder. Each individual year has contributed its own uniqueness in enhancing the success story. Starting off with just a handful of children and growing in strength year after year, the school has come a long way ------ FIFTY YEARS.
The achievements of the school have not been overnight miracles. It has been careful planning, state of the art infrastructure, quality teaching, disciplined and affective nurturing and commitment at to make Kumarans what it is today. This meticulous task has taken a long time ------ FIFTY YEARS.
Today Kumarans as a group of institutions can take the credit for imparting quality education. We have the Pre-Primary, State Board, CBSE Board, ICSE Board and Pre-University Board (Junior College). All these schools stand as edifices of the dream mission of the founder. The voyage of success continues. At the helm now is our captain, Mrs. Meenakshi Balakrishnan, Director of Kumarans Group of Educational Institutions whose magnanimity and optimism has steered the shop of Kumarans through tempests and calm waters.
Today after FIFTY GLORIOUS YEARS, Kumarans transcends beyond the confines of academics, sports, culture etc and extends to higher realms-service to humanity, spreading the radiance of knowledge, wisdom, love and peace as poignantly portrayed in its motto “LEAD KINDLY LIGHT”.
