Sports

The following students have excelled in various sports and games at the national and international levels.

  1. Navaneeth A R – II PUC
    • Won KOA AWARDS-2009 (Karnataka Olympic Association). He has been adjudged as “BEST SPORTSPERSON” in TABLE TENNIS.
    • Represented India in IV International Sports Games “Children of Asia” in Yakutia Republic, Neruyngri (Russia) from 3rd July to 13th July 2008 – obtained 9th position in individual.
    • Participated in “Japan – East Asia Network of Exchange for students and Youth programme” from 27th May to 5th June 2008 in Tokyo
    • Selected as one of the probables for Common Wealth Youth Games held at Pune in October 2008.
    • India No. 5 in the Junior boys (Under 17 category) as per TTFI ranking (2007-2008)
    • Won the Silver Medal at National Ranking Table Tennis Championship (South Zone) at Cochin
    • Karnataka State Champion since seven years (2002 -2008)
    • Selected for sports scholarship by Airports Authority of India, New Delhi.
  2. Karuna B P – I PUC
    • Won 4th Place in State Level Triple Jump. Has been representing the state in Triple Jump for 3 yrs.
    • Won Silver medal in Triple Jump and Shotput in the District Level meet in 2009. Won the Bronze medal in Hurdles, Relay and Long Jump in the District Level meet in 2009.
    • Won Gold medal in Triple Jump, Long Jump and Hurdles at the Taluk level meet in 2009. She won the Girl’s individual championship at the Taluk level meet in 2009.
    • Won the Gold medal in 100mtrs, 400mtrs and Relay at the Zonal level meet in 2009. Won the Individual championship at the Zonal level meet in 2009.
  3. Malathi Bhaskar – I PUC
    • Represented Karnataka State in Table Tennis.
    • Represented Karnataka in the National tournament held in Surat, Gujarat.
    • Participated in the State level TT tournament held in BNM college in Sept 2009. Was the Winner in Youth level and was the runner up in Junior level.
    • Represented Karnataka in the Zonal TT tournament held in Siliguri in Nov 2009.
    • Represented Karnataka in the Zonal TT tournament held in Thane in Dec 2009.
  4. Pravallika M – I PUC
    • National level Swimming champion (Gold medal) since last 8 years.
    • Winner of Gold medal in the Swimming competition held by SFI (Swimming Federation of India) in 2007, 2008, 2009.
    • Winner of Gold medal in various swimming competitions at District and State level.
