Why Kumarans

Sri Kumaran Children’s Home (CBSE), popularly called Kumarans, is committed to excellence and this philosophy pervades every aspect of the institution. The institution has been striving to influence and enhance the quality of education by developing young children into responsible citizens. All-round development, discipline and leadership are the high points of the Kumarans culture. The school with almost 50 years in the education field has the continued support and involvement of parents in the south of Bangalore. We strive to see that the educational services provided in the school are aligned with the vision, mission, values and beliefs of the school.

Sri Kumaran Children’s Home (CBSE) was established in 1995 under the able stewardship of Mrs. Meenakshi Balakrishnan. This institution is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (www.cbse.nic.in) which functions under the overall supervision and control of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

The aim of Sri Kumarans CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is to channelise the potential of students both in the academic arena and out of it. It draws students from all over the country and abroad to impart standard education and promote all-round development. The school has classes from I to XII. Presently, we have about 1375 students and 85 teachers.

As a school, we are very conscious of the fact that educational experience needs to be dynamic and in tandem with the changing needs of the society, while keeping ourselves rooted to the core values we started the school with. The curriculum at all levels is flexible and incorporates new trends in the changing scenario.
