Sharat R Prabhath (Batch of 2006) is a performing artiste par excellence who heads the world- renowned company- Prabhat Arts International. An established Kathak dancer, Carnatic vocalist, poet, story-teller and entrepreneur, he started Artoholic -Events Designer, and PADAPA -Main stream education through art, for educational institutions. Belonging to the rich lineage of Sri Purandara Dasaru, Sharat is the torch bearer of the ancient story telling tradition – the Harikatha. He was awarded the prestigious Uday Shankar award for excellence in choreography, and introduced trend setting practices in performing arts. He directed, choreographed, scripted and composed music for many productions.
