Anand C K Shashidhar (Batch of 1989) is the first recipient of the Ekalavya Award for Sports Shooting. He has also received 16 National medals, 26 State medals, the PaaramparaaNidhi Award and many more. He is the only International Shooting Sports Federation 'B' Judge in the state. He runs his own Sports Company, KADAMBA that offers training facilities. He has been guiding the Army Marksmanship Unit of MRC, Wellington too. He has authored India's First and Only Comprehensive Guide to Sports Shooting, titled '10X'. He believes that Kumarans helped build a foundation that powers the right confidence and attitude to achieve in any field.
