Dr. Naveen Shetty (Batch of 2008), has a Doctorate in Civil Engineering from KU Leuven, Belgium. Having been a Scientific Researcher for 5 years, he is now a Structural Engineer with QBIC Architecten, Ghent, Belgium. He received the Excellent Paper award at the International Acoustic Emission Symposium, Sapporo, Japan in November 2018. He is a confident engineer whose keen interest was kindled at a very young age, by watching his father designing buildings and supervising on site. Kumarans taught him to be self-disciplined, punctual, and have respect for authority. He considers himself extremely lucky to have studied in Kumarans under the guidance of insightful teachers.
