Dr. Suvinay Subramanian (Batch of 2007) Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a B.Tech IIT Madras, is a computer architect at Google, working on designing high-performance computers for artificial intelligence, and making several research contributions to high-performance computing. A recipient of the Honda Young Engineer and Scientist award, building innovative and sustainable computing technologies to enable a vast landscape of applications interests him, and he hopes to make India’s higher-education system world-class. Kumaran was instrumental in setting the foundations for his life and career; especially the teachers who nurtured his interests, encouraged him to dream, and instilled in him values for life.
